I have been a loan officer for more than 30 years and I still have a passion for helping people finance real estate and secure their financial well-being. My primary lending focus is residential mortgages for primary residence, second homes and rental properties. I can lend in all 50 states which helps me serve all my clients and their family and friends no matter where they live or want to invest in real estate.

The diversity and range of loans that I can handle is huge. I have lived and originated in very high-cost areas like California and ski resorts in Colorado. Credit challenged borrowers are a niche I am proud to work with as I have been able to help many clients referred to me by Bankruptcy attorneys. I have also done a tremendous amount of work for first-time homebuyers and can answer questions about zero down programs ( VA and USDA) and grant money. Condominiums are a special niche I am good at because of the volume of business I have done in resort areas and for first time buyers. The most unusual niche lending that I have done is leased land. I have done over 300 loans on leased land for professors at University of California, Irvine and California State University, Monterey Bay.

My job is helping people realize life-time goals and financial well-being through home ownership. I do this by being a loan consultant that cares about his clients and walks them through all the steps of obtaining financing for a home. I work diligently to provide options regardless of your assets, income, or credit history. I also take responsibility to teach and share what good financial practices are so that all clients can all have a positive experience when buying or refinancing real estate.

On the personal side, my wife and I have been married over 30 years now. My wife, Jill, is a writer and filmmaker. We have one daughter who is Naturopathic Doctor here in the Portland area. My most passionate hobby is running. I have been competing in track, road, and trail races since the age of 10. I did my first marathon at age 15. Two fun highlights of running include running rim to rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a 52-mile run to raise money for cancer research. I stay passionate about my running by racing, coaching (I am currently teaching a running class at PCC), and participating in multiple charity events.
